Summary
A love for design history spans modern, mid-century, and Art Deco aesthetics. This passion began while studying industrial design and deepened during tenure as General Manager at Mod Livin'. This experience enhanced knowledge of design history and sparked interest in curatorial studies.
In 2020, accepted into the Parsons Graduate Program for decorative arts. However, this acceptance became a turning point—a moment to reconsider how to blend passion for art and technology with a commitment to education and social justice. The years following Parsons led to a gradual but deliberate shift toward teaching, recognizing that the classroom offered the most direct path to addressing systemic inequities and creating meaningful change.
Contributions
Exposure to global contemporary design at ICFF fueled passion for collecting unique pieces. Collection journey has been one of personal satisfaction—pursuing estate sales and auctions to acquire and sell. Began selling at the Alameda Flea Market in California, which became a perfect creative outlet to connect with fellow design enthusiasts from the Bay Area and beyond, selling and sharing stories behind each carefully curated piece.
